The Manitoba government is expanding its in-market trade presence in India by appointing Nueconomy Strategy Consulting to support Manitoba businesses pursuing opportunities in India, a key action under Manitoba’s new Trade and Export Growth Plan, Business, Mining, Trade and Job Creation Minister Jamie Moses announced today.
“In the face of continued threats and disruptions to trade, our government recognizes this partnership with Nueconomy will help us diversify and expand export opportunities for Manitoba businesses,” said Moses. “Their experience in the region will help identify business opportunities, support market entry and connect Manitoba companies with potential partners, buyers and investors.”
Based in India, Nueconomy specializes in trade development, investment attraction and location-assessment services, the minister noted.

To help businesses access new markets, the Manitoba government has also launched its new Trade and Export Growth Plan, focused on helping Manitoba businesses grow exports and build long-term economic partnerships. A key deliverable of the plan is the new export navigator portal, being developed in partnership with World Trade Centre Winnipeg, to help Manitoba businesses find the information and support they need to begin or expand exporting.

The portal will evolve in the coming months and provide exporting guides, in-depth market research, resources on free trade agreements and trade opportunities, training tools and key information for Manitoba businesses to expand trade and exports.
